History Education at a Time of War

Description
The "Confronting Memories: History Education at a Time of War" program is designed for the professional development of history teachers in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova, promoting international and intercultural understanding. It also provides tools for teaching sensitive topics related to war and conflict resolution.
Outcomes
- Local and international workshops have been organized, attended by teachers from different regions of Armenia and different countries.
- Educational materials and applicable tools have been developed, among which stands out the pedagogical guide "Teaching Sensitive History: Post-Soviet Conflicts", which will help teachers in the region and other countries create their own lesson materials dedicated to the study of sensitive topics and conflicts.
- The program concluded with an international conference held in Berlin, attended by educators from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Germany, Poland, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, experts from EUROCLIO organization and other specialists in the field.
